DESCRIPTION:Run the Liberties – August 12th 2026 \nSt James’s Hospital Foundation will celebrate the 18th annual Liberties Fun Run in aid of St James’s Hospital. This unique 4-mile timed road race takes participants through the heart of old Dublin and attracts in excess of 1500 participants every year. \nStarting & finishing in the beautiful grounds of the Irish Royal Hospital Kilmainham\, the route takes in some of the most famous sites throughout the Liberties including St James’s Gate\, Francis Street\, The Coombe and Fatima. SUMMARY:South West Inner City Public Community Safety Forum (March-June-October)
DESCRIPTION:The South West Inner City Community Safety Forum covers Merchants Quay\, Thomas Street\, Kevin Street and The Coombe areas of the city (from South Quays to Leonard’s Corner to Basin Street/The Fountain on James’ Street) and Heuston Station and most of the area from Portobello to Dolphins Barn. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Forum organises three Public Meetings per year\, roughly February\, May\, October. Rotating venues but recently meeting most often in St. Catherine’s Church\, Thomas Street. \n\n\n\nThese public meetings are open to all members of the community and highlight the value of community voices coming together to raise issues relating to community safety with representatives from An Garda Síochána and Dublin City Council.  \nThe next meeting is expected to be held in October 2026  \n\nMore information on the Dublin South Central Forums website.
